Programs and Projects
The Burmese Islamic Association of Colorado (Masjid Ansar) plays a vital role in our community, offering various programs benefiting local residents and visitors. All these efforts contribute to social cohesion, civic responsibility, and community well-being.
Quran classes
We have weekly Quran classes for boys and girls after Dhuhr (afternoon) prayers on Saturdays and Sundays for two hours until 3 pm. We also arrange sessions on Islamic studies, which help community members learn and grow intellectually.
Ramadan and Eid
We serve as a community hub where people can come together for prayers, events, and social activities, including Ramadan and Eid gatherings, which foster a sense of belonging and strengthen community bonds.
Community support
Our community members also engage in helping with refugee settlement, finding employment, and locating financial assistance for those in need, which address poverty and support vulnerable individuals.
Interfaith harmony
We regularly engage in facilitating dialogue with people of other faiths, promoting understanding and tolerance. These interfaith events and discussions contribute to community harmony.
